Man Who Approached Ariana Grande at Movie Premiere Barred from Singapore

An individual of Australian nationality that leaped across a fence and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been deported and banned from Singapore.

The man, 26, was sentenced to nine days in prison for disrupting public order and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the country's border control informed local media.

The man shoved beyond security and approached aggressively the actress and singer, who was participating in the Asian premier for the film on November 13. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

Wen has a history of disrupting concerts and celebrity events, including leaping onto the platform at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with numerous people claiming he of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The singer has discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at her performance in the UK city in several years ago resulted in the deaths of 22 people and injured hundreds.

In the legal process, the judge was informed he had tried to gain access on the red carpet event twice, according to regional reports.

He then made a follow-up try to cross the barriers. Security staff stopped him and held him in place.

The man subsequently shared video clips appreciating the celebrity for permitting his access and said he was "at liberty."

Authorities detained him the subsequent day and charged him with causing a disturbance, to which the man admitted guilt.

The Presiding Judge the magistrate was referenced by a news outlet as remarking that Wen was "attention seeking", adding that he was wrong to think he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not spoken about the incident.

Cynthia Erivo discussed the event to a media outlet, remarking that she "only aimed to ensure my colleague was protected."

"I think he had no intention to us danger, but you never know with such situations, and I wanted to confirm that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she said.
