Educator Slain and 25 Female Students Kidnapped in Armed Clash at Educational Institution in Nigeria

Weapon-carrying attackers have killed a teacher and kidnapped no fewer than 25 pupils in an raid targeting a girls' secondary school in north-western Nigeria, according to police.

The armed faction breached the comprehensive secondary school for girls in the Maga locality within Kebbi State at roughly 4 in the morning local time on the beginning of the work week, police confirmed.

The assailants "confronted officers on duty in a firefight" before scaling the perimeter fence and abducting the learners from their hostel, authorities disclosed.
